You will never see us offer for sale a 'perfect' horse, same goes for 'dead-broke', 'baby-sitter', 'bomb-proof', etc....  Some horses come (a lot) closer to it than others, but there is not a horse out there that is perfect for every rider in every situation - they are individuals, and just like people have their own personalities and abilities.   What we will do is be completely open and honest about every horse we have.  This is why I prefer to first talk directly to people, there's just not enough webspace to detail all the nitpicky details (bad and good) for each horse.

We enjoy having people come look and try out our horses (more so in nice weather lol), and very seldom (and never on purpose) will you show up at our place to look at one and find it already caught up, saddled and ready to go.  Usually, we'll just throw you a halter and point you in the right direction.  This way, you can see for yourself exactly how the horse is from ground to saddle.

We never have and never will pressure anyone to buy.  Whether you're looking for a long-term riding companion, a transition horse, or a prospect to bring along with an eye to making a profit...... we want your new horse to be as good a 'fit' as possible.
We strongly recommend the following:
'Shop around'.  Horses come in all shapes, sizes, temperaments and at different levels of ability and training (as do riders lol!)  The more you try, the better chance you have of finding the best match for you.
'Don't make impulse buys'.  While it may not be practical (if you've travelled a distance) for you to go back home, there's no reason you can't at least go grab a cup of coffee or something to eat and give yourself a little time to think it over before making such an important decision.

A few quick notes here:
*We reserve the right to not sell any horse to any person.......... period.
*We do not 'hold' a horse without payment in full up front.
*There is a 1 week grace period on 'hold' horses, then a $5/day NONREFUNDABLE board fee        will be charged.
*Horses will not leave our premises until paid for in full and payment has cleared.
Thank you for understanding the reasons behind the above conditions, we would never question anyone's right to do the same were we looking to buy.

Our guarantee is this:

Within 1 week of purchase of any horse we own** and have guaranteed, we will take back that horse and refund the full purchase price on only these conditions - that the horse is returned to us in the same or better physical condition as it left our place and that it has not been 'blown up'***

**We have been doing more sale listings for friends we rope with - those horses are clearly marked  and while we will tell you anything we know about them, any dealings and guarantees will be directly with that horse's owner.

***Horses are blown up by riders lacking appropriate horsemanship skills and/or by inappropriate usage.  While we can head off problems due to horsemanship issues by making sure we have matched horse and rider to the best of our (and their) ability, we have no control over what someone does with a horse once it leaves our place.  Inappropriate usage refers to any attempt to make a horse perform either beyond it's current physical abilities or so far beyond it's current level of training to the point it causes behavioral issues (rearing, bucking, bolting, etc...) dangerous to horse, rider, or other people.
